Subject:Finally got my BX-3!

Well, my BX-3 arrived last Thursday, and it's been a really fun week
exploring it and getting ready to use it on my band's first paying
gig this Friday.

I'm running it through a Leslie 145, and it's scary how good it not
only sounds, but feels. I never want to play organ sounds from a
synth or piano-style action again.

It hasn't taken long to go through the presets, find the ones that
work best for our music, and disable the Leslie sim (which is one of
the best I've ever tried, but with the real thing in the room...).
I've adjusted to it quite well, and it takes up less room than the
two synths I was using to control my V3. Having all the controls
layed out the same as on my C3 is a Godsend, too.

Next, I suppose I need a Speakeasy, and one of those relays that Midi
Solutions makes would be nice for when I'm playing from the Roland AX-
1, and need to change rotor speeds when I'm nowhere near the
footswitch. For now, though, I'm as happy as a clam.

On a slightly related note, I finally put the florescent posterboard
on the Leslie's horn rotor. At one point during rehearsal last night,
my drummer screwed up a fill because he was paying too much attention
to the Leslie. He can be a little bit cymbal-minded at times...
