Yes yes yes! That sums it up! Adding two clones sounds like it might
be a bit unorthodox, but the sound is so full, ambient, and rich.
Using two hardware clones as you do, you probably can also get away
with standard Jazz type settings like 888000000 + 3rd soft fast + C3.
That's where I fall a little short as I have a very slight amount of
latency on the EVB3, and the percussion is ever so slightly behind the
CX3, like a slight chorus delay effect. Come to think of it, if I
switched the CX-3 to deep triggering, the gap might close. Then
again, the EVB3 is so good at the standard Jazz settings, that nothing
good could ever come from adding something to it. But adding two
clones with synchronized higher drawbar settings + tremolo is great,
and its reassuring to see someone else has similar experiences. At
least if I am crazy, I'm not alone!
I also noticed that you are using a midi mapper. Some of the EVB3's
parameters require cc#s above 100, whereas the CX3's controls can be
assigned cc#s up to 100. Am I correct to assume that a midi mapper
could serve as an intermediary junction box so that I could expand the
EVB3 parameters that I control with the CX3?
Thanks,
Doug
