Subject:NEEDED: One midi widget

I'm sending this out in hopes that someone on the list can give me
some ideas.
I've decided to sell my BX3 and use my VK7 as a controller until I
get my B3 in it's nice little custom case.
In the meantime I need something that is small, can be programmed
with different midi cc#'s and doesn't cost anywhere near 130.00 like
the SMALL midi gizmo does at the G.C.
Since the perc., vibrato/chorus, leslie sim switch does not send a
midi cc then I need something very small and easy to sit on top of
the VK7 to send those changes. Something that has 3 or 4 buttons
that can be programmed to change switch perc., chorus and leslie
speeds.
The clerk at GC was clueless about any other options other than what
they sell. He got that glassy-eyed look when I explained what I was
looking for.
I will go from the VK7 midi out to a midi merge box so I can send one
midi signal to my jv1010 and another from the merge to my laptop via
a midiman 2x2 USB/midi. I guess I need to put this widget between
the merge box and the Laptop so the midi signal doesn't change things
on the 1010 everytime a punch the button/switch.
Does anybody know of anything like this?
