Subject:Question on Roland A37 and other controller suggestions wtd

Hi everybody,
A few questions for the group. I'm looking for a few opinions
here. I'm looking into getting a controller to use as a 2nd/lower
manual for my electro and/or V5 and ALSO to control my Virus B
synth and Roland P-55 piano module. Right now I'm using my
Roland RD-600 for all this, and its a great board which I'll never
sell. But I would prefer a semi weighted keyboard as an overall
solution, that has at least as many controller features as my RD
(and is easier to haul around). The 2 midi outs on both Rolands
is a major plus here.
I do like the fully weighted action of my RD for acoustic piano, but
don't require it, as long as I have aftertouch/velocity curves to
play with. I've been reading up on the A-37, which seems overall
to have a lot of satisfied users. I'd like opinions from any owners
pro or con on this keyboard, and ANY other suggestions from
others. Not looking to spend a fortune right now though. Would
also be open to a keyboard that has some onboard sounds and
excellent controller features. 76 keys is preferred, but not
essential.
One more question about the A-37. How much room is on top on
the left to put a module? Is it deep enough to put something
there?
Thanks,
