using a latching switch…

I don’t think so. The similar experience that I described having with my
BX3 in an earlier response occurred first with an Alesis Q series KB damper
switch pedal, then again with some generic piece I had on hand, both of
which were dampers, - momentary by design. My Kurzweil and Korg dampers, on
the other hand, worked correctly right away for Leslie switching.

I experienced the same phenomenon described by masiegel49 - I had to tap
twice to get the speed to change, then twice again to change back.

Baffled me too, because I’d never come across that behavior before.

It sounds to me that you are using a latching switch and should be using a
momentary on or off (depending on required polarity). A damper pedal of the
correct polarity should do it.

I must be missing something, but I've tried to use a foot switch to
control the
rotary on my cx-3 using the assignable input with puzzling results. The
switch
must be clicked twice to change the rotary from slow to fast, and vice
versa.
I'm using a roland switch, so could that be the problem? Any suggestions?
