Sure they should get a reply. Why not? Who knows what the circumstances are as to why the 1st answerer did not hear from the questioner. Maybe the questioner did not receive the email from the answerer. Maybe the questioner DID reply, but the answerer didn't receive the email. And on and on. Besides, who's gonna keep track of those folks who acknowledged the help, as opposed to "the others"? Don't make it so complicated! If you know the answer, simply answer the question. You might help out someone else in the process :-)
