Subject:RE: Leslie 21: The Saga continues...

The Leslie 21 is like the Motion Sound 3ProT + LoPro combination. It has an
upper and lower units that are linked together with 1/4" cables. The
upper(Rotary Unit) is a real rotary horn, but the lower(Stationary Unit) is
a big speaker(15"), and a horn. Very beefy. These units are STAND ALONE
amps, and can be used separately, or in tandem, which is an advantage over
the Motion Sound. The Rotary Unit weighs about 55 lbs, and the stationary
Unit weighs about 85 lbs, and has built-on casters. But unlike the LoPro,
the Leslie 21 Stationary Unit is not a real rotor, but a digital sim. I
like the LoPro better for that. The Leslie 21 Stationary Unit can reproduce
lows to 40hz. Wondering if the new Motion Sound unit (the $1,800 one) can
go that low. Does anyone know the specs? Couldn't find it anywhere.

I will stick with this unit for now(I can't afford another nickel for gear)
. Ham-Suz repaired it under warranty. Hopefully, when making repairs, they
will correct and flaws that may have emerged in these units .

I'm anxious to hear about the new Motion Sound from users in the field who
have experience with many other amps.

Have been to the Sweetwater sight many times, and didn't know they have a
price beating policy, or that they will get gear that you want, even if not
listed on line. Never went to American Musical Supply site. Going there
tonight, though. Thanks for the tips.
