I'll bite:
The Hammond is, of course, always prominent in Gospel. Perhaps because of some sacred and profane yin and yang, hammond also ends up on sinful songs featuring devilish laughter, threats of eternal damnation, etc. Here are two favorites of mine, about 35 years apart!
1) Fire! Arthur Brown. That song that starts with..."I am the god of hellfire and I bring you FIRE."
From the 60's.
2)St. Augustine in Hell by Sting (10 Summeners Songs album--spelling suspect.) OMG, listen to that growl and power of the Hammond throughout the entire song. I'd kill for exactly that sound. And the solo--not all that technically difficult, just tasteful and perfect for the tune. Those descending whole note or augmented triad chords played over Eb13 get me close to orgasm. Who is that player?
