This feature is simple and accessible on the Electro, using the LED
drawbuttons vs. the real drawbars on the CX-3. When you are in organ mode
on the Electro, the main/upper drawbar setting is usually the default on
display and you can access the lower drawbar setting by one button push.
Actually, you can save the sound so that the lower drawbar sound is on
display if you know that your upper sound will stay fixed and you just want
to tweak the lower. For example, if I know that 888000000 w/3rd perc and C3
chorus is "the sound" I need for a particular song on the upper manual, but
I want to change the lower sound dynamically, I will set up the preset to
allow quicker access to the lower set of drawbuttons. As we have said all
along, the drawbuttons are not as intuitive as real drawbars, but once you
get used to it, it is really not that bad.

Subject: Re: [CWSG] korg cx3 vs electo

Dear list,

I like the CX3 because I can adjust the keyboard 2 volume while playing
(via
drawbars). Is this real-time tweaking of the relative volumes of bass and
main keyboards possible and EASY on the electro (which I cannot try out
since
no store near me has one)? Thanks!

P. S. Are there others who like me have always found this feature
(independent volume control of the two keyboards) to be absolutely
crucial?
In my case, my need for this feature is what makes me not inclined towards
my
V5 as a main axe (I could never get external drawbar control of the V5
manual
2 to work reliably).
