Hi Bob,
I'm not Mark, but I have experience with both of these amps. The 41c is not
just louder than the 31c, it also has decidedly more bass response than it's
baby brother (and interestingly has more bass response than the 32c with a
15" woofer), but I have a friend who plays in stereo with two 31c's and this
seems to really fill in the bass response. I'm probably just stating the
obvious here, but there is a world of difference between one 31c in mono and
two 31c's in stereo. So I guess you have to decide whether you need to play
in stereo or mono. In my band I run a stereo signal to the mains, so a mono
stage monitor is fine for me, but for guys who are creating all their sound
from the stage a pair of 31c's is killer.
