Subject:RE: Nord Rack/ key velocity....Help? : [
I use a RS-9 to control a Kurzweil PC2R and there are no velocity issues;
pianos behave like pianos and organs behave like organs so you shouldn't
have to do any programming as far as velocity is concerned. BTW Dean, I'm
glad to see someone else using the RS-9. I love mine; after searching and
waiting a long time, it's the only synth/controller I know of on the market
that has a full 88 keys and is synth/organ weighted (although Roland says
it's semi-weighted, but it's not). As a bonus, it has some decent useable
sounds of it's own, an arpeggiator and it's only 24 lbs.! It's not red, but
it's brushed aluminum finish is pretty stylish.
I bought my RS-9 not only to control the PC2R, but I also wanted to use it
to experiment with either an Electro Rack or B4. I want to hear your
thoughts Dean when you get it going.
