Subject:B4 as a Leslie sim for an external sound source
Last night I got to tinkering with one of my M3's in the music room. I don't have a Leslie yet, so I tapped off the speaker output on the M3 and sent it in to the Quattro. I tried putting the input signal into the B4fx module in AudioMulch, and also into the Standalone B4 program, and both worked nicely. For those of you who run straight into the PA (at church, etc.) this could be a viable option (especially if you or the church / band aren't willing or able to purchase a real Leslie. As long as you can attenuate the signal before it gets to the PC or laptop to avoid clipping (and assuming you have both inputs and outputs available at low latency), I think it would bring satisfactory results. Has anyone else tried this?
