My dos centavos for what it's worth...

Clones are not B3's. They aspire to be, much the way Little Annie Oakley might have aspired to be Jennifer Lopez, but that's about it!!

There is something about a steel shaft spinning at 1200 RPM's, encased in 400 pounds of assorted hardware that just makes that sound so much more real. And I suspect even if you could get that sound out of a clone, a person sitting at a real Hammond just commands a look of so much more presence and control, than someone sitting at a piece of plastic on an X-stand. Sorry, that's just the way it is. When you get right down to it, it's not just about the sound, it's about the ego trip too.

Why do you think SUV drivers have more attitude on the road, than Toyota Corolla drivers? It's the same thing. Size and shear weight command attitude.

Think of a B3 as a black Chevy Suburban coming up on your tail at 95 mph on the Interstate. And my VK-7 as the Geo Metro desperately trying to get out of the way!

Odd analogy, but I think most of you get my drift. I'll stop there.
