Subject:Mid EQ on CX-3 v1 and a little IMO about B4

So I've had the CX and Pro-3T at the house for a few days, mostly
doing some little things to the MS to tweak it a little more to my
changing tastes. Just for fun, I ran the Mid EQ on the CX-3 up all
the way, left the Treble at -10 , and left the bass at 0. There was
definitely a lot less shrillness, but I ended up bringing the mids
down a bit to +5. Still, it sounds a lot better to me, anyway. The
high octave is a bit piercing, but overall, seems more balanced.

Oh, and I've been fiddling with B4 some, and I'm not entirely sure
how much I like it. It's fun for when I don't have the CX at the
house, but doing A/B (both with their own leslie sims, and through
the Pro-3T) I prefer the less "airy" quality that the CX has.

The best way I can describe it is that, with B4, I feel like the
drawbars sound like they are a foot apart; but with the CX-3, it
feels like a cohesive unit. Not to say that the B4 is a terrible
clone...it just sounds different. YMMV, and, of course, use what
sounds best to your ears.
