Subject:Electro drawbars
Just got my new Electro 73 and I'm having a blast with it. I wanted
to start a thread on just the drawbars.
I'm quite happy w/the drawbars. I think they can be improved on (and
I'll get to that in a moment), but I'm wondering how many people have
noticed/used the nine user presets?
If you hit the shift key, the upper drawbar buttons have "factory"
presets, some of which are pretty weird, and the last button is a
random generator - whew!
The bottom buttons can store whatever configuration you like. I don't
know about you guys, but I only need a few "classic patterns" and
being able to set them this quickly is quite cool. It's a lot like
having multiple drawbars to switch between, but instead of two, there
are nine!
Okay, on to improvements. I think Clavia could've made the drawbars
feel much more like the ones we know & love if the LEDs themselves
were touch sensitive. That is, as you run your fingers up/down the
LEDs, the lights would follow your fingers. In some ways, this would
be faster (and in my mind, cooler) than drawbars in that you could
just press an LED and it would "jump" to that position.
[I've also started this thread in the Electro group]
