Subject:Re: my NAMM thoughts
This issue has been hammered to death on the HL since I joined a few
years ago.
It would seem to me that HS would stand to make a pile of dough if
they were smart enough to put the "right" sound chip in the XK2.
It is my opinion that they would sell a lot more 2,000.00 boards than
they would 20,000.00 organs.
I'm not going to hold my breath for those guys to wake up OR to see
how many folks buy a 20,000.00 organ. I've played the XB and XK
models and that simple issue of phasing kept me from buying one. I
opted for the VK7 instead. Maybe a little less authentic but no
phasing issues when played through a Leslie.
If you want to spend that kind of money you can get a nice B3 in
Dallas for around 8K and a Leslie.
20K? NAH!
Even the black gospel groups won't pay 20K for one.
