Subject:Shrillness in CX-3 upper octave....

Hello folks,
Seems I'll have to hold onto my CX-3 for a while. (wish I could swing
the $$$ for an electro, but that's not in the cards right now.)
Anyhow....what techniques are you using to overcome the shrillness in
the upper octaves of the CX-3 ??? Would adding a Speakeasy to my
Barbetta Keyboard amp smooth out the tone??? or should I also
consider some sort of EQ'ing (my Behringer mixer helps, but it tends
to flatten out the "excitement" factor when I trim out the high end.)
Maybe a parametric EQ ??? Maybe Snake Oil ???
Your expert opinions are, of course, HIGHLY appreciated!
