Well it's not going to sound exactly like a Leslie valve model such
as a 122/145, as it does not have valve finals. So you won't get that
big, beautiful, warm sound. The 12AX7 gives plenty of crunch but it's
harsher. Also, the horn does not have a treble diffuser, which makes
a big difference to the sound, especially on chorale. However, for
the convenience of a single portable unit in 70lb package versus
140lbs in a very large piece of furtniture, this is got to be winner.
My guess is that it's going to come in close to a Leslie 760/860 in
terms of sound, only still very much lighter and compact. The
760/860's are not valve but they still sound great.
