Subject:Re: NAMM SHOW- roll call
The Fender jam is being hosted by the guys from the Fender Custom Shop,
is open to the public ($2.00 cover charge, proceeds of which are being
donated to the Fender Museum in Corona), and is being held at Loffler's
on Katella, a couple of miles west of the convention center. Activities
should get started at around 7 p.m. or so. This is the third such event;
the first two were attended by capacity crowds so if you plan on
attending, I suggest you come early.
For those more interested in a more "organ-ic" event, Joey DeFrancesco
will be doing a NAMM performance at Steamer's Cafe in Fullerton. The big
show, however, is at the pond, where Elton John will be performing and
receiving a special lifetime achievement award from Yamaha. Also
scheduled to appear at that particular show are Randy Newman, Mike
McDonald, Bruce Hornsby, Ray Charles, Brian Wilson, Diana Krall, and many
others.
