Thanks to everyone that took the time to reply; that was exactly the
kind of info I was looking for. As much as I love my VK-1000
(although not so much compared to the "3rd Gen" clones), I've snapped
at least 20 keys over the years with simple palm glisses. :(
Otherwise, it's a great keyboard, 76 keys, reasonably good controller.

Interestingly enough, it also has the tonewheel brake simulation. In
fact, I used it (on the VK) on an album I did up here in Canada back
in 1992; the intro to the tune had the organ stopped; held a chord,
and "started" the tonewheels... quite an intriguing sound that got a
lot of people asking me how the heck I did it. Also used the
reverse at the end of one song... which was a single, but
unfortunately the braking didn't get heard much because of over-eager
fadeouts on both radio and MuchMusic. :( Oh well. ;)
