I've just spotted the UA-20 for $165 (KraftMusic) and $179 (Zzounds and
Musician's Friend)... it comes with ASIO and is USB-powered, unlike the $149
Extigy. My laptop came with XP, but it sounds like I'm gonna have to bite the
bullet on my ME desktop machine too, for the ASIO drivers (it has a lousy
AC97 now, although I have a SBLive somewhere, too).

I already have a M-Audio USB 1x1 midi, so I could go with the Indigo... but
as I was already prepared to buy an Extigy, I might as well get the UA-20 and
have the inputs as well. Still not sure what to do about a controller, in the
meantime my Yamaha will do. The M-Audio Radium looks nice, 8 sliders and 8
dials, plus slider for volume or expression, 8 lbs.

(PS: the CX-3 sold for a good price, esp considering how little I paid for
it. I travel with a laptop anyway, so I'll stick with the B-4 for the time
being, the CX-3 was just too big for my tastes, as little as I used it).
