Subject:RE: possible XK-2 update?

Sean,

I owned an XB2 for almost 10 years and was so happy with that v2.0 upgrade
chip when it was released. I had an XK2 as well, for about a year and a
half before I switched to the CX3. The XK2 is a great organ with the best
organ action of any clone available (I also feel the Electro is in the same
league, but not quite as robust).

I have not heard anything about Hammond releasing a v2.0 of the XK2, but
there have been rumors of a new clone from Hammond with dual drawbars. You
never, never know.

Also, the Speakeasy is a great unit. It has a different kind of tube warmth
than what you hear from your Motion Sound. You should try one out. It
would be the icing on the cake for your rig.

Subject: [CWSG] possible XK-2 update?

Does anybody have any idea as to when Hammond will be putting out an
upgrade on the XK-2? I know they created one for the XB-2 and it
would be nice to have some more options on the XK-2 i.e.
Chorus/Vibrato , tonewheel selection (clean, dirty, etc). I would
also like to be able to control the organ volume while perc in
enabled, I don't like the extreme volume drop when perc is set to
normal. I have a electro but am still stuck to my XK-2s action and
robust feel.

also, is the Speakeasy Tube preamp really worth all the money? I
have a Motion Sound KBR-3D and the distorion and warmth sound pretty
good.

peace
Sean
