I remember when I was a young lad and my band mates and I would move my
C3 and 122. You are right about clearing the bar. They would always
leave my organ and Leslie till last, then tease me and say "The Hell
With It... let's go home"... Well, now that I have my CX3 sounding great
and all my gear fits in my convertible, I have no reason to play one of
my B3's live... But you know, it may sound the same, but it sure feels
better playing the console than the Korg....

You'd be surprised how quick you can clear a bar when it comes time
to move a B3.

Actually, I make it a habit to help the sound guy or other members in
the band when they load so they'll feel guilty if they don't help me.
Works everytime.

I usually just rent a trailer from u-haul for 15.00 a day. The bed
of the trailer is low enough to the ground so that loading is fairly
easy with not too much muscle strain involved.

A trailer is the very best way to move a B. If you buy one get the
one that has the drop down door, not the gate type door like u-haul
rents.

In clubs where it has to go on a stage I get some help lifting the
beast.

The B3 has covers and dollies and the Leslie is mounted on a 3/4"
pice of plywood with wheels on it. Everything rolls quite well.

In the event that the stage is very small or very high then I take
the BX3/B4 or just my Motif. I either run those pieces through a
mixer which I control into the snake/splitter or for tiny jobs I use
the Motif and one powered DAS cab. I can option the B4 or BX3
together or separately.

This B3-clone thing is a sickness that you never recover from.
