I think the CS80, like many expensive, overpriced (IMHO) items, is far too
high maintainence for most of us. It's got a rep for being very, very
touchy.
The T8 is not something I would gig with, but it didn't ask that much. I had
to realign the keyboard a few times a year because there were so many wooden
parts that would shrink/swell with weather changes. I had two voice boards
go bad, could have fixed them pretty reasonably but there was a cool sw
trick to lock them out so I never did. Keyboard was the same as a
Synclavier, very light but extremely responsive. I could consistently play a
velocity of 5-7 or 120 or anything between. Used LEDs for the switch, the
LEDs were triggered by a real hammer, it was amazing.. downsized the studio
and couldn't justify it.
