Dear Brian,
I guess the kind of music I play figures into why I like the CX3, so I don't
think I have any absolute opinion on whether it matters that it is not its
own instrument.
I thought of an example that might mean something to you or somebody.
I know that a Rhodes is "its own instrument" (more than the Korg CX3) but if
I had to do my show with ONLY one keyboard and the choice was between the CX3
and a Rhodes, believe it or not I would choose the Korg CX3. It has to do
with the kind of music I am playing as much as with anything else.
(P. S. I've had it with digital pianos; I find them unpleasant to play, so a
Rhodes would go above those.)
