Tony,

After rewiring my two FC7s they both work perfectly with my Electro. I have a Roland EV pedal as well which works OK out of the box, but the Yamaha has a longer throw and is smoother, more like the expression pedal on my B3. By the way, Clavia did an incredible job of recreating the expression pedal behavior from a Hammond.

Cheers, Ken

Ok...I guess I spoke too soon: I had just plugged the
pedal in and did a quick volume sweep to make sure it
worked, which it did. However, when I got to the gig,
and played at STAGE VOLUME, it became apparent that 90
percent of the volume is unaffected by the pedal until
you get to that ONE SPOT where all the volume seems to
disappear. Luckily I still had my Roland pedal. When
I got home, I figured I'd do the wiring mod, but I
looked at the manual for the Electro first to see if
there was a pedal option (like on a lot of keyboards).
And lo and behold, it actually says the Yamaha FC7 is
not compatible with the Electro but they recommend the
Roland pedal.

So....I'm wondering if that rewiring deal will even
make this work. Has anyone tried it with the Electro?
