Subject:Re: Turn off internal Leslie on XK-2 XK2 - how ????

Hi Whit,

Here's what I know.

I presume you are sending the audio signal from your XK2 straight
into the Pro3T via the 11 pin connector. In other words, you ARE
NOT using the 1/4" outs from the XK2. Right? If this is the case,
then you should be fine. The XK2 is configured so that the internal
Leslie simulator does not feed the 11 pin connector, regardless of
whether you have it turned on or off using the XK2 buttons. You
should be getting a straight, dry Hammond tone via the 11 pin
connector and the only way to use the 11 pin to switch speeds is to
turn the XK2 Leslie switch on and then do fast and slow. This is
presuming that the wiring is set up to work with the Pro3T.

My experience was using the XK2 into a Hammond kit called an 1122
that interfaced the 11 pin into a 6 pin Leslie 122. It worked
perfect. No Leslie simulation was sent through the 11 pin cable --
just a straight, non-Lesliefied Hammond tone. In order to switch
the 122 speeds, I used the XK2 controls.

Let me know if this helps. You may need to go to John Fisher at
Motion Sound if there is a wiring issue with the 11 pin.

Eric
