Hi Melvin,
This may also depend on the clone you are using. I believe Mark uses a CX-3
(correct me if I am wrong), which has a lower output volume than many other
clones.
Thanks,
Andy

Subject: [CWSG] Speakeasy question

Dear folks,

My speakeasy pedal arrived and I can already tell it is an excellent
purchase. It is much better than the other preamps I have used.

I write because I am confused about earlier discussion of the pedal.

An earlier clonewheel message said that Mark L. and someone else plays the
speakeasy full out (volume full) and adjusts the volume from the clone.
I
find that almost unusable.

I found what the factory recommended to be better: to play the clone
nearly
full out. This drives the preamp well. I am missing something?

Also, could my difference of experience be a result of not using a tube
power
amp?
