My Marshall guitar amp does the same thing sometimes. Sounds like a cold
solder joint in the Speakeasy somewhere that's turned into a diode detector,
and it's picking up a nearby AM radio station. Or one of the cables is not
making good contact in the jack it's plugged into. Try replacing the cables
first with known-good ones.
