Well, my apologies to Eric and Bruce, as I feel this thread is getting a little too commercial to justify keeping it on here. I think contraptions like this are best suited to smaller businesses who can "turn on a dime" for the customer, but I have no grand visions of selling hundreds of these things if I were to make them. I bet I could sell 20 or 30 pretty quickly, but I am focusing more on sharing a new piece of gear with those who would probably use it than I am on making a successful business model. Of course my time spent building something like this is worth something, so I wouldn't want to do it for free. I would really like it if one of the big dogs would take the reins at this point. If Roland could get over the fact that someone would be using their product (VK-8M) to control another manufacturer's product or software, I think they could easily sell a buttload of those units with no sounds in them. Of course, they would have the Roland name backing it up, which means a lot. So anyway, if I get my act together on this and get sourcing for the necessary parts, I will definitely let all of you know. It just seems such a shame that there isn't someone out there already doing this for us.
