Subject:custom clonewheel with B4
Hi, I just had an idea and I don't know if it's been discussed
before. I was thinking that since the B4 is a pretty good Hammond
standalone clone, how about using it to make a customized
clonewheel. I was thinking getting two midi controllers like the
Roland A-37's and stacking them up like a Hammond on some wooden box
that I would build. Then I would dedicate a laptop to just this
midi setup, I could even store the laptop inside the box, as well as
the cords and whatever other accessories I may need. Maybe I could
even get one or two Voce drawbar boxes to go along with the
keyboards. How does all this sound? I was actually thinking of
using two Electro's, but they are really expensive! One of those
costs as much as my Roland RD-700! By the way, which keyboard with
waterfall keys has the most accurate Hammond key action? Is it the
Electro?
Talk to you guys soon,
Aram
Deke, I'm sure you have a lot of expertise in this. I have a
feeling I'm being a bit naïve about it, but I don't know why.
