Subject:Re: What would you improve/solve in the B4 ?
Ok summing it up....
SOUND:
1)No grunt and bass in the lower octaves.
2)The pedal tones are way way way too weak.
3)The 838000000 setting, which is the standard jazz
second manual setting is a little...muddy in the high
end.
4)Like all clones, the top octave of the B4 when
using the "Jimmy Smith" (888000000, 3rd perc, C3
chorus) is a tad harsh.
5)1' drawbar is not defeated when percussion is on (selectable)
6)Tremolo is too "choppy" --> like to hear more here
7)Even if mics distance is set at max too much audible leslie effect
8)Onboard reverb.
GUI:
1)Drawbar configuration that matches the B3: 2 sets of nine per
manual with upper drawbars on the left, lower drawbars on the right,
plus 2 drawbars for the bass pedals.
2)Presets that work like the B3: the preset keys B & Bb should be used
to select the actual drawbars.
3)Selectable volume drop on percussion normal. ?
4)A set of presets that match the stock B-3
Obviously these are only parts of messages...
When I'll report these I'll give full original messages.
About 'Tremolo is too "choppy"', I'd like to know more Doug
Personally I'd like more leslies and more aggressive lower octaves.
