Subject:my introduction and asking for advice

IN case I haven't done so yet, allow me to introduce myself. My name is
Damon. I am a 28 year old musician in New Jersey who loves classic rock,
progressive rock and hard rock. I am hugely influenced by Emerson Lake and
Palmer, Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Rush, Dream Theater, and sTyx, to name a
few. I play in a couple of bands and use a Roland VK7 as my wanna b3. I
love the sound, but hate the keyboard. I tend to play a little hard and the
keys are rough, especially when going nuts sliding up and down the keyboard
and such. I am considering trading in my VK for something new and could use
your help.

What I want is a keyboard, as opposed to a module. I have heard about the
VK8. I know most of you hate the fact that it doesn't have a screen, but I
am totally blind and so it doesn't matter to me. I have heard the Electro
and the CX3, and love both of them. I love the Electro's extra sounds, but
hate the idea of no drawbars. I do make use of the drawbars in playing to
change the sound as I play. However, the electric pianos sound so sweet. I
use a Motif6 in addition to my VK7 and also a JP8080- for analog sounds,
and while the Motif6 covers the electric pianos really well, sometimes you
do need that extra punch. I've physically had my hands on a Korg CX3 and I
do like it as well. Oh, the decisions. Can anybody help me narrow it down a
little? And also, what do you think I can get for my VK7? It si in fine
shape and still plays well. If it wasn't for the keyboard, I'd look into
one of those speak easy preamps and live with it that way, but I really do
want something extra. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
