Shane,
I have dealt with a dead one, and I feel your pain! I have started a web
page about troubleshooting these things at
http://robert.weathergreen.com/bx3/troubleshooting/common_problems.htm. I
hope that helps you.
I welcome anyone else with Vintage CX-3 or BX-3 repair experience to
contribute to these pages. I'm just getting started with them.
Robert

Subject: [CWSG] my old cx-3 sputtered then died
Hello
So my old cx3 died. For no apparent reason, it spit awful sick
sounding clusters and then went silent.
I know this is the $100,000 question, but what's the latest on
those legendary after-market ICs?
Is there anyone here who has dealt with an old dead cx3? I have
some basic electronic skills. Suggestions about where to start
troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Shane
