That was a very classy post! I'm also of the Lord / Emerson school of
'drama' myself. I always tried to listen to people like Zappa / Cooper if
only to try to see if there was anything worthwhile. I really do not care
for Zappa's funny singing voice for example, but works like "The Yellow
Shark" are brilliant. In fact, try to seek out his instrumental music...it's
really great! It's also VERY challenging to the listener, something a prog
rocker like yerself would appreciate. A. Cooper had his own niche which
until Kiss came along, was quite unique. Hell, even Kiss have a couple of
catchy tunes! It's all in the ear of the beholder. As you know, there's
something musically out there for everyone. Even RAP!!
