Subject:RE: Volume issues
Here is a good example... When I play Miss You in my classic rock band,
I play my whurly patch at one level for most of the song, then bump up
the volume for my solo.... I am playing with two hands throughout the
song and would hate to remove my hands from the keyboard to search for
some obscure volume dial in the middle of "the red sea"... Damn, I love
teasing my Nord friends...

If you are having this many issues with volume discrepancies on the gig,
it
may be a worthwhile exercise to go through all the patches that you use
and
use the configurable output level knob. You could get the baseline
volume
for your organ patches and the match up the other sounds to the
baseline, so
that all your sounds fall within a certain threshold (rather than some
barking too loud). Save all your sounds with the output level balanced
with
one another. This should eliminate the problem you have. I did this
awhile
back and find that I can set the master volume and barely touch it all
night.
