Subject:Ideal home rig

I own a CX-3 V.2 and a Peavey KB-100 amp. I play only for my own
amusement in my home, so I have no need for high volumes, cutting
through other instruments, etc. What I want is simply beautiful,
soulful sounds for solo jazz, blues and some rock.

The CX-3 is pretty new, and its drawbars and (partly faux) wood case
help me fantasize that I'm sitting at The Real Thing. So, it's not
going anywhere. Anything downstream of the `board, however, is up
for review. Given that I'm not using this rig to make a living,
price is an issue. But I'm hoping that since I don't need stage-
type volumes, I ought to be able to pull together a pretty sweet-
sounding setup at a reasonable price.

So, I'm open to suggestions. What would be your first priority?
Speakeasy? New amp? Powered speakers? Space is limited, so
Leslies and real Hammonds aren't a practical choice.

So, what would you do to jump-start the sound quality of my home set-
up?
