Subject:Re: Top 10 Albums
Alright, I'll step up to the plate and have a crack at this....
In no particular order:
1) LIVE AT THE FIVE SPOT- Joey DeFrancesco
2) The Album with the Lion on the front- Santana
3) LOW SPARK OF HIGH HEELED BOYS- Traffic
4) DEAR MR. FANTASY- Traffic
5) DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED- The Moody Blues
6) A WHITER SHADE OF PALE- Procol Harum
7) DEJA VU- Crosby steals the cash...err...I mean Crosby, Stills, and Nash
8) MADE IN JAPAN- Deep Purple
9) SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE- Deep Purple
10) UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY- U2 (Being a teenager of the 1980's, I gotta' throw in at least one 80's rock album that defines my generation, even if it has no Hammond!)
Odd mix of music I know, but that's what happens when you grow up in a house where your Dad listens to B.B. King, your Mom listens to Sonny and Cher, and your sister listens to Mandonna. And I just happen upon Deep Purple all on my own.
There's many other 80's groups that I've omitted that have influenced me, but I'll leave it at that.
