Some months ago I reported on this list that the weights on two
separate keys of my CX-3 had broken off, resulting in the noise you
describe. I was able to open the unit up and epoxy the plastic
shrouds holding the weights back into position.

Well I'm sorry to report that yet another weight has just recently
broken off (not the previous ones that I repaired - those are still
intact). I was doing palm glisses the night it broke, and heard the
piece rattling around inside.

Not a good sign for the CX-3's key mechanism, eh? This is a V1 CX-3
(with the lip on the key edge).
