Subject:Re: Native Instuments B4 - midi mapping

Thanks for the info Tony and Deke,
I tested this all out using cubase to do the real time
midi mapping for me and everything works fine except that
my GFX8 doesn't properly constrain the CC11 range at MidiOut,
so I'll be looking into getting Midiox to do something like that
for me when I get to building it with chainer or audiomulch.

One nice thing about the GFX8 is that the fourth of the
on/off switches has an 'on only so long as you're
holding the switch down' function. which maps quite nicely
to the leslie rotary speed.

My UA-100 soundcard has a built-in effects processor
(less CPU intensive than VST effects) and four knobs on the
front of the box, plus some software which allows me to configure
what these knobs do (which onboard effects/params they control).
So I'm hoping that it'll give me a little bit of Eq, reverb &
compression right beside me, without adding any extra gear
to carry. I plan to put the laptop somewhere safe, and have the
UA-100 sitting on top of a Quiklok 636s (if i can find one
cheap/second hand in london); finally I'll have the kenton on top of
the UA-100 box.

thanks again,
john
