I tend to go 45 on the minimum value.

The volume knob on your module/keyboard still dictates
the overall volume. But if you're talking about
leaving the volume knob wide open, and using midi
volume at 50% (64?) and then expression, in my
experience using the Roland A90 and Motif 8, the
expression pedal will take precedence. That made it
hard for me to understand what expression does for the
longest time.

Again, using my A90 or Motif 8, using a footswitch as
opposed to a footpedal, yes, 0 and 127 worked just
fine.

Never used that as I always a drawbar module to use
(Hammond XM1 or Voce) and that had the vibrato switch
on it (and on those units, that chorus/vib was useless
anyway).

It is an awesome stand, sturdier than hell, easy to
pack up, and takes less real estate in a studio or
stage than ANY stand I've ever owned.
