A couple years ago the band I play with opened for "The Soft Parade", a
Doors look alike band. They all struggle, especially keyboard, with
using vintage-era instruments. The Ray character was playing a Gibson
keyboard with the shortbed Rhodes Bass perched on the top. He said
that is was very difficult to maintain tuning and to find a technician
that could aid in keeping these relics breathing. Interesting to hear
that the original guys have moved on to more current technology with
the change in decades.
