The pk-5 is capable of all those things since it can be programmed to
send arbitrary controller messages. It does send program changes but in
a rather awkward way so I don't use it for that function.

I change presents (in mid-song) VERY SELDOM. If necessary, I play the
bass with the left foot freeing my hand for that job which is usually
changing the Leslie speed between verse and chorus. I change presets
with the buttons on the Roland VK-7. I don't need more than 16 since I
"sculpt" my sound mid-song in many ways (i.e. drawbar movements,
overdrive changes, Leslie speeds) like a real Hammond player usually
does. I have a Roland XV-5080 module which gives me tremendous
flexability in adding or subtracting sounds with just two volume pedals
(one for the organ preset and one for the orchestral preset. (Sometimes
more than one).

The main reason I like the 5 (although I wish it had more range without
changing octaves) is because it's built like a tank and VERY durable.
Others have commented on this board about other pedals , which I'm sure
are wonderful, but out in touring land with airplanes, travel, roadies
and such, I need something that is NOT delicate, even if some features
are harder to access than others. So far, for me, the 5 does the job.
BUT... if anyone has something better that is ROADWORTHY, I'll be sure
to consider it.
