Subject:Re: So you wanna check out Vanilla Fudge...

The 60s had a radio climate where I could hear the entire famous side of Vanilla Fudge with "You keep me hanging on," "Ticket to ride," "A little while" etc at night on AM radio! The first time I heard this, I was so blown away by it being completely different. It was so raw, like a live jam.

Today, nobody would play it cuz it is too long and too eclectic to fit into corporate ideas of demographics.

But I also can be narrow-minded...I know they covered Shotgun, but this band had way too much "angst" for that---"Do the jerk, baby!"
