OH, its GREAT stuff... I am presently reading Ian Gillan's biography and
he says in the book that Deep Purple's heroes during 1969-70 were
Vanilla Fudge.. They played their albums wherever they went.
Mark Stein is one of my biggest influences. In fact, if you read the
liner notes on the Niacin CD, you will see that he was also John
Novello's....

OK Classic Hammond rockers. Has anyone ever heard "Break Song" by
Vanilla Fudge? "Mark Stein on the Hammond Organ!" It is a live cut off
of Near the Beginning. Similar style, over the top, cranked up Hammond
playing back in the late '60's. As a young lad this stuff blew me away
and still sounds pretty cool today.
