brakes are the extra element to the speed thing. "feathering" takes on a new
meaning when you have brakes. nothing like the bass rotor spinning from fast
after the treble rotor cascades and dead stops only to tease feather it into
initial startup and brake again... nothing is as sexy as a Leslie....

the sims seem to have a difficult time achieving the braked sound. it seems
the lower rotor coasting on its own is hard to get...on the VK8M at least. i
shud explain that the brake sound i'm referring to is the one where the tube
relay is taken out of the circuit which allows the rotors to coast rather than go
to "slow" before coming to a stop. maybe i didn't spend enough time at it.
