melvin, thanks for the response.

Yours seems to be aimed at those intent on doing left hand basslines
and the issues and problems that brings.

While I'm capable of playing basslines for this band, we do have a
bass player. So my concerns are more LH chording and those issues of
relative volume, drawbar settings, and note ranges/overlap.
