Not walking around with a bag stuffed with swag is another way. Nothing points out an interloper than a guy with a bag full of every brochure, sticker, T-shirt (if they're even still doing t-shirts) pen, etc that every booth put out. Someone who attends conventions regularly has no interest in carrying around ANY of that junk.
