Subject:Speed Control Pedal

This is speed control to major tom, can you hear me major tom?

Segue to subject at hand = tweak pedal... I mean speed pedal...

Not sure how
the thing worked tech-wise but I could go from stopped to fast and
anything in
between using a pedal he took from my Farfisa. Could get some unique
sounds
I'll tell you what. Closest description I could use is that it

between speeds and the control I had ramping up and down were to die

Assuming a Leslie of some sort: Hand me any working pedal with a
potentiometer that'll manage 120 Volts AC and I can/will make a "gas
pedal" Leslie speed control as described above - so can you. Always
go to the source, i.e., the AC power cable to the Leslie motors. Cut
one of the main incoming power gnarly old wires, strip off some
shielding and solder a couple of lengths of 18 gauge shielded wire to
the two cut ends. Solder the other two ends - one end into and the
other end out of - the potentiometer of the aforesaid pedal: Variable
Speed Control "to die for" including: "You can't do that."

I figure if you took the top off a MS rotary horn cabinet and traced
the post-transformer low current DC wires to the motor, the same
concept would work. But there must have been a reason MS quit making
its original "gas pedal."
