Regarding the middle-C problem, I play a Voce V3 and encountered the
same problem as you when I would layer the organ sound from the V3 with
the piano sounds in my Proteus P2K. Fortunately the V3 is a rack-mount
module with extensive editing features, and I was able to edit on a
patch-by-patch basis to transpose any patch in order to bring the two
middle-c's to the same position. I am not familiar with the editing
capabilities of the V5, so I don't know if you could do something
similar with it or not. Another possibility might be to set up a preset
on your keyboard controller to get around this (again I am not familiar
with the workings of your controller so I don't know if this would work
for you). What you would do on a Fatar controller for instance is to
set up a preset with 2 regions, each sending out on a different midi
channel, say channels 1 and 2. Set one region to play normally, and the
other region to play transposed by an octave on channel 2, having your
V5 set up to receive midi on channel 2 only.
Just some ideas.
